Sage Payroll software – new features for charities

Improvements have been made to Sage 50 Payroll specifically for charities and charity accounting. By using Sage 50 Payroll for Charities you will be able to provide important analysis to trustees and donors throughout the year, not just at year end, helping you improve the financial reporting of your charity and freeing your time to concentrate on your charitable activities.

Fund Analysis

Multiple Funds, Types of Funds, Activities by Funds, Transfers between Funds.

Statement of Financial Activities (SoFA)

All income and expenditure nominal codes can be allocated to SoFA categories for reporting by fund type.

Projects

Sage 50 Payroll allows 'projects' or 'events' to be created so that you can record income and expenditure associated with them. This allows you to report easily on the success / failure of projects and activity type within budgets.  

Departmental Budgeting

Sage 50 Payroll now allows you to set budgets against nominal codes and budgets.

Centralisation of Data:

Using Sage 50 Payroll allows you to store details of all donors and funding bodies in one place and attach files, photos and evidence to those records. You can also attach Excel, Word and Image files to nominal codes to back up assets and expenditure. 

Gift Aid and R68 report

Sage 50 Payroll now allows you to print a Gift Aid declaration letter for your donors and record the date that the declaration was signed. The R68 report can then be run at the end of the period to calculate the total Gift Aid that can be claimed. 

Diary

Manage your accounting tasks in the new Sage Diary and hold multiple contacts per funder/customer.
